Flexibility Training

Our Dance and Circus Physio’s are well equipped with the highest knowledge base, that allows for an effective flexibility program to be created. We address contortionists, rhythmic gymnasts, dancers, hyper-mobility, pointe and turnout range restrictions. We have one rule only, as your flexibility increases, so does your strength. From. Our goal is to ensure you can control your new unveiled flexibility within a safe manner.

How can a physiotherapist help?

Your therapist will work closely with you, at the recreational or professional level, to ensure your mobility is symmetrical. Your training will be closely monitored to ensure the load verse recovery ratio is optimal. Additionally, we are comfortable in treating associated injuries and existing conditions, including:

  • Spinal stress reactions and fractures

  • Facet Joint pathologies

  • Muscular strains and tears

  • Spondylosis and Spondylolisthesis

Rhythmic Gymnastics

A young rhythmic gymnasts body is reviewed closely given the mean age of competitors are 19 years of age. We take into account skeletal maturation when developing rehabilitation or training programs and delicately balance out appropriate levels of technique, control , flexibility and stability.

Hypermobility

At REP we have the resources to discover if you are hypermobile. We skilfully determine where you lye on the scale and thus, develop an individualised program suitable for that client.
