Q.WHAT IS PHYSIOTHERAPY?

A physiotherapist is someone who utilises their expertise in anatomy and physiology to address a wide range of health conditions. Following assessment , an evidence based treatment approach will evolve. Differing avenues include: manual therapy, movement analysis, postural optimisation, exercise prescription, etc. The techniques applied are aimed at prevention, treatment and performance enhancement.

Q. WHAT DO I WEAR TO MY APPOINTMENT?

Your normal clothes are fine. We do would recommend loose fitting garments that you can easily move in. For example, shorts and crop top or singlet to allow us to adequately assess the injured area.

Q. HOW LONG WILL MY APPOINTMENT GO FOR?

Standard initial consultations are 45 minutes and at least a 30 minute follow-up consultation. Longer consultation times are available upon request and should be discussed with your physiotherapist.

Q.WHAT PARKING IS AVAILABLE?

There is street parking in the surrounding area of Rosebery available.

Q. DO I REQUIRE A REFERRAL FROM MY GP?

No you do not need a referral to see a physiotherapist unless you are claiming your treatment through a compensable body, for example, DVA, WorkCover or Medicare EPC.

Q. IS HICAPS AVAILABLE?

Yes Hicaps / Eftpos facilities are available for an instant rebate for selected health funds. The amount of rebate is dependent on your individual private health cover and chosen extras package.

Q. WHAT IF I HAVE MORE THAN ONE INJURED AREA OR COMPLEX INJURY HISTORY?

Not a problem at all, it is just recommended that you have an extended session to ensure all elements of your injuries are addressed.

Q.WHEN SHOULD I ARRIVE FOR MY INITIAL APPOINTMENT?

At least 10 minutes prior to your appointment time to fill out the the appointed paperwork.

Q. can i CHANGE OR CANCEL MY APPOINTMENT?

If you need to alter your appointment you can contact us via email or phone. Please note any cancellation within 12 hours of your appointment time may be subject to a small fee.

Q.WHAT CONDITIONS CAN PHYSIOTHERAPY HELP WITH?

We cover various musculoskeletal and orthopaedic conditions, either associated with aerial and dance, to non sporting injuries. We also confidently delve our resources into the work cover and DVA system and additionally chronic complaints.
